Theatre maker Lotte van den Berg (1975) regards theatre as a space to explore fundamental human processes such as perception and communication. From the outset of her career, she challenges theatrical conventions by integrating unconventional performers into artistic contexts and presenting her work in unique locations and at unusual times.

Van den Berg's productions have been showcased at esteemed theatre festivals across Europe, as well as in the United States, Canada, and Africa. Her work has earned her accolades such as the Erik Vos Prize and the Charlotte Köhler Prize from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds.
