Cappella Amsterdam is a professional chamber choir of over twenty-five members, based in Amsterdam. Under the artistic direction of Daniel Reuss, the ensemble has developed a recognisable and idiosyncratic sound, which is maintained even under guest conductors. The choir’s repertoire spans from medieval music to the most complex contemporary works. Through its distinctive programming—combining early and new music—and its frequent collaborations and co-productions with (inter)national partners, Cappella Amsterdam continues to develop the versatility of the ensemble and attract a diverse audience.
Cappella Amsterdam is a regular partner of several internationally renowned ensembles and institutions, including Asko|Schönberg, Calefax, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Holland Festival, Dutch National Opera, Residentie Orkest, and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra.
