If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution (If I Can’t Dance) is an Amsterdam-based organisation dedicated to the production and theorisation of performance art since 2007. Through an ongoing exploration of performativity within contemporary visual art, If I Can’t Dance develops new performances in collaboration with leading contemporary artists, curators and researchers.

At the core of its working method are two-year collaborations with eight international practitioners. These long-term partnerships result in newly commissioned work, presented at partner institutions both in the Netherlands and abroad. With its explicit focus on performance, the organisation has established a distinctive position within both Dutch and international art institutions.

If I Can’t Dance collaborates with, among others, the Whitney Museum of American Art and The Kitchen in New York, Tate Modern in London, and Ashkal Alwan in Beirut. It is also a co-initiator of Corpus, an international network of art institutions committed to the joint development and presentation of new performance productions.
