Catalyst Commissions is a programme in which one external curator annually acts as a mentor for the participants of De Appel’s Curatorial Programme. This ten-month programme brings together a select group of curators to learn, experiment, and develop exhibitions. The Catalyst Commission strengthens this process by enabling the creation and presentation of a new artwork as part of the final programme.
