Garden of Scars is the first solo exhibition by Ibrahim Mahama in the Netherlands. Commissioned by the Oude Kerk, the Ghanaian artist developed a monumental, site-specific installation that engages with the building’s unique architecture and layered history. Over the course of two years, Mahama created this new work, intertwining local histories with global themes such as trade routes, migration, and (post)colonialism.
