Inside the former Bijlmerbajes prison, the audience moves straight through a nocturnal world of psychedelic music, earnest choreography and poetry. Choreographer, musician, and performer Blackhaine is known for brutal, disorienting, yet tender performances.

And Now I Know What Love Is puts both audience and performers face to face with questions about connection and love, hope and despair, life and death. The work breathes the desolate, post-industrial atmosphere of Northwest England, where Blackhaine grew up, and for which this former prison provides the perfect setting.
