With Le nozze di Figaro, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed a tragicomic classic that has been a crowd-pleaser since its premiere in 1786. Mozart and librettist Da Ponte combine playful intrigue with existential questions and social critique, which, under Kirill Serebrennikov's direction, remains relevant today. Steven van der Linden, a member of the Dutch National Opera Studio, plays Don Basilio.
