Study for Life is a choreographic tribute by Tero Saarinen to the enchanting music of composer Kaija Saariaho, who passed away in 2023. Soprano Raquel Camarinha, six dancers from the Tero Saarinen Company, and nine musicians from Asko|Schönberg bring five of Saariaho’s compositions to life. With a unique stage setup and poetic scenography, the boundaries between audience and performers begin to blur. This world premiere marks Saarinen’s debut at the Holland Festival.
