Atropa is a production by Naomi Velissariou and Floor Houwink ten Cate, based on Atropa. The Revenge of Peace by Tom Lanoye. In this adaptation, they transform the ancient tale of the struggle between East and West into a contemporary reflection on war, fear, and loss. Through an immersive scenography of sound, image, and language, the work reveals how the path to freedom is often accompanied by suffering, and how women are disproportionately affected.
