Composer Michel van der Aa is a pioneer in the field of contemporary music and new technology. The theatrical and visual dimensions of music play a central role in his work.

From 2019 to 2022, Ammodo supported three new productions by Van der Aa: the virtual reality installation Eight in 2019, the film opera Upload in 2021, and the innovative chamber music theatre work The Book of Water in 2022.
