The Envision Competition is one of IDFA’s main competitions. It focuses on innovative, artistically daring documentaries that push the boundaries of the genre. Each year, around fifteen international documentaries or world premieres are presented, in which filmmakers take the freedom to develop their own cinematic language and break away from traditional forms of storytelling.
