The Stedelijk Museum presents Hito Steyerl – I Will Survive, a large-scale solo exhibition by one of the most influential voices in contemporary art. As an artist, filmmaker, writer, cultural critic, and professor, Steyerl operates at the intersection of film and visual art, ranging from documentary cinema to innovative multimedia installations. Her visually compelling and conceptually layered work examines the complex interconnections between art, society, technology, and neoliberal capitalism. With a critical eye, she sheds light on overlooked issues such as colonial violence, government control, systemic racism, and the power of protest. Steyerl’s disruptive installations challenge visitors to reflect and leave a lasting impression.
