The Rijksmuseum presents Remember Me, the largest exhibition of Renaissance portraits ever held in the Netherlands. More than one hundred masterpieces from leading international collections are brought together, featuring works by artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Hans Holbein, Sofonisba Anguissola and Antonello da Messina.

The exhibition explores the flourishing of portraiture around 1500, when rulers and citizens alike sought to have themselves immortalised as expressions of beauty, power, knowledge and faith. Remember Me reveals how artists granted their sitters a lasting presence in history.
